Key takeaways
- All three work inside Outlook now; you do not have to change mail client to get AI drafts.
- Fyxer drafts and sorts on Pro ($37 a month annual) and adds meeting notes; its free plan does not draft.
- Superhuman Mail for Outlook adds categories, archiving, Auto Drafts (Business) and reminders that resurface unanswered mail.
- Copilot Chat in Outlook costs nothing extra on qualifying business plans; the paid licences are $21 (Business) and $30.
If your mail lives in Outlook and Microsoft 365, three AI assistants come up first: Fyxer, Superhuman and Microsoft's own Copilot. All three now work inside Outlook rather than asking you to move to a new app. They differ in price, in how much they sort for you, and in whether they chase a thread that went quiet. Here is the comparison, checked against each vendor's own pages on 29 October 2026.
Fyxer vs Superhuman vs Copilot at a glance
| Fyxer | Superhuman Mail for Outlook | Copilot in Outlook | |
|---|---|---|---|
| How it works | Works behind Gmail or Outlook; sorts and drafts in your existing inbox | Works inside Outlook: categories, archiving and drafts appear in Outlook on desktop, web and mobile | Built into Outlook for Microsoft 365 work and school accounts |
| Drafts replies | Yes, in your tone (Pro and up) | Yes, Auto Drafts saved to your Outlook drafts folder (Business plan) | Yes, full drafts from the thread, plus coaching on tone and clarity |
| Sorting | Automatic labels (Pro and up) | Auto Labels as native Outlook categories; optional Auto Archive | Assigns high, normal or low priority and explains why; can create Outlook rules from a plain request |
| Follow-ups | A follow-up list, and a drafted follow-up email after each recorded meeting | Auto Reminders bring back unanswered mail with a follow-up draft | No follow-up reminders or sequences |
| Meetings | Meeting notes and recordings | Not part of the Outlook product | Meeting preparation from mail and calendar; scheduling with up to two people |
| Free option | Free plan with briefings and limited meeting notes, but no drafting or sorting; 14-day Team trial | Free trial | Copilot Chat in Outlook at no extra cost on qualifying business plans |
| Paid price, per user per month | Pro $37 annual or $49 monthly; Team $64 annual or $99 monthly | Starter $25 annual or $30 monthly; Business $33 annual or $40 monthly | Copilot Business $21 (annual commitment, up to 300 users); Microsoft 365 Copilot $30, annual |
Prices are the vendors' list prices in US dollars. The Superhuman Outlook page does not show a separate price; the figures are Superhuman's published Mail plans. Microsoft runs promotions on Copilot Business from time to time, so check the price at checkout.
Fyxer: the most hands-off for drafting and sorting
Fyxer keeps your client and works behind it. On Pro and above it labels incoming mail, writes replies in your tone for the threads that need one, and records meetings, sending you a drafted follow-up email after each. A seat is one person however many inboxes and calendars they connect.
The free plan is narrower than it looks: it gives a daily dashboard, a weekly briefing and up to 400 credits a month for chat or about six hours of meeting recordings, but no drafted replies and no inbox sorting. New accounts get a 14-day trial of the Team plan and drop to Free afterwards unless you choose a plan. Team needs at least two seats.
Fyxer's follow-up feature is a list that refreshes during the day and the email it drafts after a meeting. It does not send a sequence of follow-ups to a thread that went quiet.

Superhuman: fast drafting and reminders, now inside Outlook
Superhuman started as a standalone mail client and still is one. Superhuman Mail for Outlook is different: it runs inside the Outlook you already use, with no new app or browser extension. After a one-time setup it applies Auto Labels as native Outlook categories, archives low-priority mail if you turn Auto Archive on, saves Auto Drafts in your voice to the Outlook drafts folder, and runs Auto Reminders that bring back an email nobody answered, with a follow-up draft ready.
Three limits are worth knowing. Auto Archive applies from the day you turn it on, so an existing backlog stays put. There is no separate mobile app for the Outlook version; changes show up in Outlook Mobile. And Auto Drafts sit on the Business plan, not Starter.
Copilot in Outlook: the one you may already have
Copilot in Outlook comes in two strengths. Copilot Chat is included at no extra cost for work and school accounts on qualifying Microsoft 365 business plans, and since April 2026 it is the main free Copilot surface left inside the Office apps: Outlook keeps it, with grounding in your mailbox and calendar. Microsoft labels this tier Copilot Chat (Basic). The paid Microsoft 365 Copilot licence, labelled Premium, costs $30 per user per month on an annual plan; Microsoft 365 Copilot Business, for organisations of up to 300 users, lists at $21 per user per month with an annual commitment.
Microsoft's own list of what Copilot does in Outlook is broad: it prioritises mail and explains why a message matters, triages from chat (pin, flag, archive, delete), creates rules from a plain request, summarises threads, drafts full replies, coaches a draft on tone and clarity, schedules meetings with up to two people and prepares you for meetings. It needs a work or school account on Exchange Online, and chat works in the new Outlook for Windows and Outlook on the web. It does not chase a thread on a schedule.
Which one should you choose?
- Your company already pays for Microsoft 365. Try Copilot Chat in Outlook first. It costs nothing extra, and it shows you which of the jobs below you actually want done for you.
- You want the inbox sorted and replies drafted with the least effort. Fyxer Pro. Budget for the paid plan; the free tier does not draft.
- You chase people for a living. Superhuman Business, for Auto Drafts plus reminders that resurface unanswered mail with the follow-up written. The structure those follow-ups should have is in how to write a follow-up email.
- You need meeting notes as much as mail. Fyxer bundles both; Copilot covers meeting preparation inside Microsoft 365.
- Price it per year. At annual rates the spread is $252 to $444 a seat. An hour saved a week covers any of them.

None of them replaces the habit of processing mail in short sessions, which is what the inbox zero method is for. How PeakLook differs
PeakLook is an AI email assistant for Microsoft 365, in private beta and not yet priced. It drafts replies in your Outlook threads and treats the follow-up as the main job: multi-step sequences at +3, +7 and +14 days, sent from the server and stopped the moment the person replies. It runs as an Outlook add-in, a web and Android app, and a Wear OS glance, and it sends your own model key per request rather than storing it.
